This depends on the option selected. The Royalty Option allows music to be sold through the Chaptore platform, with authors and musicians sharing future revenue. The Exclusive Distribution Option gives the author exclusive rights to distribute the music as they wish. As Chaptore is built on creative collaboration, authors are required to credit the musician for their work, helping both creators reach new audiences.

Chaptore is built around genuine human-to-human collaboration. Authors and musicians work together throughout the creative process, sharing ideas through calls, meetings and email. Authors have the opportunity to provide feedback, discuss their vision and help shape the direction of the music, while musicians retain the creative freedom needed to produce their best work.

Timelines vary depending on the product selected. As a guide, Promotional Pieces typically take 2-3 weeks, Ambient Soundscapes 2-3 months, and Chapter-by-Chapter Companions 3-6 months.

Royalty terms are outlined in a separate Royalty Share Agreement. Revenue from reader purchases is shared between the author and musician, with Chaptore retaining a percentage.
