What could your story sound like?

We're excited to share four original music samples created by Keith Hersch, a talented member of the Chaptore musician community.

Keith J. Hersch

Keith is a composer whose work spans orchestral film scoring, New Age, and synth-driven production, with credits ranging from award-winning independent films to product demos for top synthesiser sound designers.

Each piece explores a different sound and atmosphere suitable for different types of stories. All are designed to increase reader immersion to create a new experience in storytelling.

Have a listen and imagine what your own story could sound like. Every book has its own world, characters and emotions. Chaptore can find you a musician to bring these to life.

Castle Gate — A period-inspired piece with an elegant, historical character. It demonstrates how music can help establish a specific time, place, and atmosphere, particularly for historical, period, or mystery-based stories.

Brave Wanderer — A calm, ambient piece designed to create space and atmosphere. It demonstrates how music can support peaceful environments, solitude, reflection, discovery, and quieter moments within a story.

Born of Fire — A dark, dramatic and expansive piece featuring gothic choir, timpani, gongs, chimes, and a strong dynamic build. It demonstrates how music can create tension, anticipation, supernatural atmosphere, major revelations, and epic moments of conflict.

Coming Home — An intimate, emotional piece focused on memory and connection. It demonstrates how music can underscore character-driven moments such as reunions, remembrance, reconciliation, personal revelations, and emotional resolution.
